Camp OZ Day 3 | “Sunshine and Smiles”

Day 3 of camp brought sunshine, smiles, and a whole lot of adventure! Some groups kicked things off at the nature center where campers explored native plants, discovered animal tracks, and got to meet a few critters up close. Other groups geared up to get creative. In arts & crafts, campers dipped their brushes into bold colors to create nature-inspired paintings, while others mastered the art of making friendship bracelets. 

Next up—horses! Campers had the chance to groom, feed, and ride these gentle giants. For many, it was a first-time experience, and the connection between horse and rider was something truly special. 

Team building in the Enchanted Forest was another offering of the day, where campers encouraged each other in team building exercises. 

As the afternoon heat rose, we cooled off with a splash in the river. Campers swam, played in the sand, and enjoyed refreshing water—a perfect way to beat the heat. And let’s not forget the mid-day treat: freezie pops for everyone! Faces lit up as campers took a quick break to chill out (literally). 

The day wrapped with a thrilling all-camp game of Predators vs. Prey. Teams scattered through the woods, strategizing, sneaking, and sprinting as they played out the classic game of survival. There was laughter, teamwork, and just the right amount of competitive spirit. 

Day 3 was packed with nature, fun, and a whole lot of memories. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
